The Mumbai CGST Zone is headed by the Principal Chief Commissioner Shri Ashok Kumar Mehta. The Office of the Principal Chief Commissioner (CGST & Central Excise), Mumbai Zone works under the Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC).

Central Board of Indirect Taxes & Customs (CBIC) is a part of the Department of Revenue under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. It deals with the tasks of formulation of policy concerning levy and collection of Customs & Central Excise duties and Service Tax, prevention of smuggling and administration of matters relating to Customs, Central Excise, Service Tax and Narcotics to the extent under CBIC’s purview. The Board is the administrative authority for its subordinate organizations, including Custom Houses, Central Excise and Service Tax Commissionerates and the Central Revenues Control Laboratory.

The Principal Chief Commissioner of GST & Central Excise invites applications for the recruitment of meritorious Sports Persons in the Field of Kabaddi(Men), Volleyball(Men), Basketball(Men) & Cricket(Men) for the post of Hawaldar under Sports Quota “Recruitment 2019 & 2020 in the Pay MatrixL-1, Rs. 18000-56900 as per t= Central Pay Commission.The posts are purely on temporary basis but likely to be made permanent.The probation periodis of two years.

✔️ Between 18-27 years.

✅ Pay Scale:- Rs. 18000-56900 As per 7th CPC

✅ Educational Qualification:

✔️ Matriculation Or equivalent from any recognized Board.

✅ Selection Process:

✔️ The eligible candidates will have to appear in the practical/field tests relevant to the sports discipline.

✔️ No traveling allowance will be paid to the applicants except those belonging to SC/STcategories as per order under SR 132.
