Organization of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an independent foundation of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been laid out under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, started by DST to support innovative work in the area of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST began its exercises on third January 2013 from its travel grounds at Mohali, Punjab. In the December of 2020, the foundation moved to its best in class new grounds rambling more than 35 sections of land of land, at Knowledge City, Sector-81 (Mohali, Punjab). Research exercises at INST include physical science, science, science, and interdisciplinary sciences resolving issues in the field of energy, climate, quantum materials, nano-gadgets, and synthetic science. Foundation has set a special mission to work at the front line of central science along with the advancement of innovations to resolve issues of public and worldwide needs.

INST invites applications from persons with excellent credentials, having innovative mind and an inner urge to deliver, for the following positions to be filled up on direct recruitment /absorption /deputation (including short term-contract) basis:

1) Scientist-G

✅ Age Limit:

✔️ 50 Years in case of Direct Recruitment /Absorption

✔️ 56 years in case of Deputation (including short-term contract)

✅ Pay Scale:- Minimum Basic : Rs. 1,44,200/- + allowances (Level: 14)

✅ Educational Qualification:

✔️ Essential: Doctorate degree in Natural / Agricultural / Engineering / Medical Sciences or Nanoscience / Technology. In the case of medical professionals, the minimum qualification could be an M.D. or equivalent as approved by MCI.

✔️Desirable:

(i) At-least eight years postdoctoral/ professional experience after PhD.
(ii) High quality publications
(iii) Patents filed / granted
(iv) PhD students guided.

2) Scientist-B

✅ Age Limit:

✔️ 35 years (Direct Recruitment only)

✅ Pay Scale:- Minimum Basic : Rs. 56,100 /- + allowances (Level: 10)

✅ Educational Qualification:

✔️ Essential: Master’s Degree in Natural / Agriculture Sciences, Nano Science and Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from recognized University or equivalent.
