Jhansi Cantonment Board (JCB) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is a Category-II Cantonment divided into 7 wards. Jhansi Cantonment Board has 14 members including the ex-officio President Cantonment Board (PCB), 7 members elected by the general public of 7 wards, 2 ex-officio members, 2 members nominated by PCB, one member nominated by the District Magistrate and Chief Executive officer as Member-Secretary.

Jhansi Cantonment Board is located in the historic city of Jhansi in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh. The Cantonment Board was established in the year 1842 and is one of the oldest cantonments in the country. According to the 2011 census, the total population of Jhansi Cantonment is 28343.

Jhansi Cantonment Board is ISO 9001:2015 certified to provide facilities like health, sanitation, education, water supply, and various types of civic services to the residents of Jhansi Cantonment. JCB is making steady progress towards converting Jhansi Cantonment into Smart Cantonment. JCB has installed an iron grills on the boundary walls of parks, food courts and other various walls of the Cantt Fund buildings. All the roads under the management of the Cantonment Board are in very good condition. Proper marking is done with thermo-elastic paint, cat-eye, speed breaker, delineator and road safety equipment. Required road dividers are built for traffic management. Roads are being repaired and maintained. Proper pavement has been provided on the side of the road.

The Jhansi Cantonment Board has started the project for laying underground sewer lines and construction of 3.0 MLD capacity sewerage treatment plant (STP). Jhansi Cantonment Board has also started Solid Waste Management System.

As a social welfare measure, a night shelter has been constructed by the Board for the homeless. Appropriate ramps have been provided on footpaths, hospitals, schools, offices and parks to make the institutions Divyang friendly. Public group toilets are also handicapped friendly.

Jhansi Cantonment has been declared ODF (Open Defecation Free). There are 30 group toilets available with 255 seats throughout the cantonment. Bio toilets have also been installed at various places.

Jhansi Cantonment Board has a very good water supply system. Clean and treated potable water is supplied from 5 overhead tanks in the area. 143 hand pumps have been installed at places where water supply pipelines do not exist. Two new CWRs of 150 kl and 100 kl capacity have been built at Lalkurti and Topkhana Bazar.

1) Assistant Programmer

✅ Age Limit:

✔️ Between 21-30 years.

✅ Pay Scale:- Level-6 (7th CPC)

✅ Educational Qualification:

✔️ Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science along with Graduation from a Govt recognized institute.

✔️ Good knowledge of C++/ VB/ HTML/PHP and DBMS like Sql Server/Oracle etc. in DOS/ Windows/LINUX platforms.

✔️ Exposer of Windows NT

✔️ Complete knowledge of office automation system and internet.

2) Junior Assistant

✅ Age Limit:

✔️ Between 21-30 years.

✅ Pay Scale:- Level-3 (7th CPC)

✅ Educational Qualification:

✔️ Intermediate from recognized Board OR Equivalent qualification.

✔️ Typing speed at computer keyboard (175 key depression per min in English OR 90 key depression per min in Hindi).

✔️ CCC certificate from DOEACC Society OR Equivalent certificate from a Govt recognized Institute.
