India Optel Limited is an Indian state-owned defence company, headquartered in Dehradun, India established in 2021 as part of the restructuring and corporatization of the Ordnance Factory Board into seven different Public Sector Undertakings. India Optel primarily manufactures Electro-optical sensors, weapon sights and communication equipment for the use of the Indian Armed Forces and foreign militaries. India Optel Limited consists of the following three factories of the erstwhile Ordnance Factory Board:

Opto-Electronics Factory, Dehradun
Ordnance Factory, Chandigarh
Ordnance Factory, Dehradun

This new Entity has been entrusted with a responsibility to give renewed thrust to expand Electro-Optical solutions for “Aatma Nirbhar” Bharat in line with Government of India’s vision. In other words “To become Eye of the Soldier”.

India Optel Limited (IOL) is a Public Sector Undertaking under Ministry of Defence, Government of India, with Corporate Headquarters at Raipur, Dehradun (Uttarakhand).

IOL is an established manufacturer of Optical/Opto-Electronics Sights/Systems and Cables for Military and Para-military applications. The Company has promising future.
