Our Mission is to promote Sanskrit learning in general and research in particular

Sanskrit Academy is a semi autonomous Research institution dedicated  to Sanskrit Research and publication and propagation of Sanskrit Language. Sanskrit Academy has come into existence in 1954. Since then it is functioning as a research of the Osmania University(OU), Hyderabad. This institution ha a separate building, built in the year 1973, in an area covering 1.18 acres  of land. In 2002, the Academy was elevated to the status of Adarsha Shodha Sansthan with the recognition and financial support of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. whereas it is considered expedient to establish and organize the Sanskrit Academy with annual grants from the Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Osmania University and such other bodies which may wish to contribute as a society for the promotion of research in Sanskrit studies and also in particular for the publication of old and rare Sanskrit manuscript in Sanskrit language or, if necessary, in translations and to extend its scope or activity without in any way prejudicing its aims and objects, and in view of its association with Osmania University and the award of annual grant therefore, it is hereby resolved that the following Constitution pertaining to the Sanskrit Academy be approved.

Sanskrit Academy (Adarsh Shodha Sansthan), Recognized as Adarsh Shodha Sansthan under "The Scheme for financial assistance to institutions recognized as Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya/Adarsh Sanskrit Shodh Sansthan " invites applications from Indian nationals for recruitment to the post of Director (Professor's Grade)
