TERRITORIAL ARMY GOI RECRUITMENT 2022

The genesis of the Territorial Army in India can be traced back to the first war of Independence in 1857, when a Volunteer Force was raised. In 1917 Indian Defence Force Act was enacted. Under the Indian Defence Force Act all the universities were asked to provide contingents to the Defence Force. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose joined the Calcutta University Corps of Indian Defence Force in 1918. Training with the University Corps helped him later in leading the Indian National Army in the struggle for freedom. Pt Jawharlal Nehru was part of the Allahabad University Corps. As a matter of interest Mahatma Gandhi also joined the South Africa Volunteer Force in 1898 and 1905 and was a Sergeant Maj with the Indian Ambulance Corps during the Boer war and Zulu rebellion.

The Indian Defence Force consisted of two branches, viz the European Branch consisting of the Old Volunteer Force under the designation of `Auxiliary Force’ and the Indian Branch which later on become part of the Indian Territorial Force. The Territorial Force was constituted for service within the limits of Indian Frontiers.

Applications are invited from gainfully employed Ex Armed Forces Commissioned Officers for an opportunity of donning the uniform and serving the Nation as Territorial Army Officers based on the concept of enabling motivated Ex Service Officers to serve in a military environment without having to sacrifice their primary professions. You can serve the Nation in two capacities – as a civilian and as a soldier. No other option allows you such an expanse of experiences

✔️ 18 to 42 years

✅ CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:

✔️ Only Ex Service Officer can apply.
✔️ Nationality: Only citizen of India (male and female).
✔️ Physical Standards: A candidate must be physically and medically fit in all respects.
✔️ Employment: Gainfully Employed.

✅ Educational Qualification:

✔️ Graduate from recognized university

✅ Selection Process:

✔️ The Ex Service Officers will be screened by the Army Headquarters Selection Board (ASB) held at Directorate General Territorial Army, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence, 4th Floor, ‘A’ Block, Ministry of Defence Office Complex, KG Marg, New Delhi – 110001.

✔️ Recommended Ex Service Officers will undergo Medical Examination at Armed Forces Clinic, New Delhi followed by their Police Verification for final selection.

✔️ Step-1: All desirous Ex Service Officers (Commissioned Officers only) of three services can download Application Form (IAF (TA)-9 (Revised) Part – 1) from www.jointerritorialarmy.gov.in

✔️ Step-2: send applications alongwith Photocopy of Release Order and Photocopy of Release Medical Board Proceedings to Directorate General Territorial Army, Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence, 4th Floor, ‘A’ Block, Ministry of Defence Office Complex, KG Marg, New Delhi – 110001.

✔️ Step-3: Prior to applying ONLINE, up-and-comers are encouraged to peruse the Detailed Commercial/Notification cautiously and will guarantee that they should satisfy the fundamental prerequisites of the Post and different circumstances as referenced in the Warning.

✔️ Step-4: Ex Service Officer should note that no request for change of date of Interview will be granted.

✔️ Step-5: The eligible candidates shall be issued a call up letter and will be sent by post by the Territorial Army Directorate
