UPSC RECRUITMENT 2022

The Union Public Service Commission, commonly abbreviated as UPSC, is India’s premier central recruitment agency for recruitment of all the Group ‘A’ officers under Government of India. It is responsible for appointments to and examinations for all of the Group ‘A’ posts of all the union government establishments which also includes all of the central public sector units and all of the central autonomous bodies. While Department of Personnel and Training is the central personnel agency in India.

The agency’s charter is granted by Part XIV of the Constitution of India, titled as Services Under the Union and the States. The commission is mandated by the Constitution for appointments to the services of the Union and All India Services. It is also required to be consulted by the Government in matters relating to the appointment, transfer, promotion and disciplinary matters. The commission reports directly to the President and can advise the Government through him. Although, such advice is not binding on the Government. Being a constitutional authority, UPSC is amongst the few institutions which function with both autonomy and freedom, along with the country’s higher judiciary and lately the Election Commission.

 

 

The commission is headquartered at Dholpur House, in New Delhi and functions through its own secretariat. Dr. Manoj Soni has been the Chairman of UPSC since 5 APRIL 2022.

Established on 1 October 1926 as Public Service Commission, it was later reconstituted as Federal Public Service Commission by the Government of India Act 1935; only to be renamed as today’s Union Public Service Commission after the independence.

1) Assistant Chemist

 Age Limit:

✔️ Maximum 30 years.

 

 Pay Scale:- Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC

 

Educational Qualification:

✔️ Master’s Degree in any branch of Chemistry OR Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering.

✔️ Technology from a recognized University/ Institution or Degree OR Diploma conferred by the Associate Institute of Chemist (India) in Chemistry

 

2) Assistant Geophysicist

 Age Limit:

✔️ Maximum 30 years.

 

 Pay Scale:- Level- 08 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

 

Educational Qualification:

✔️ Master’s Degree in Physics OR Geophysics OR Geology Mathematics from a recognized University or Institute.

✔️ BE OR AMIE in Electronics OR Communication from a recognized University or Institute.

 

3) Assistant Director (Scientific “C”)

 Age Limit:

✔️ Maximum 40 years.

 

 Pay Scale:- Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

 

Educational Qualification:

✔️ Master’s Degree in Botany OR Zoology or Biochemistry OR Microbiology or Biotechnology OR Molecular Biology OR Forensic Science OR Physical Anthropology or Genetics form a recognized University or Institute and

✔️ Bachelor’s Degree with Botany OR Zoology as one of the subject from a recognized University or Institute.

 

4) Senior Scientific Officer (Scientific “B”)

 Age Limit:

✔️ Maximum 35 years.

 

 Pay Scale:- Level- 10 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC.

 

Educational Qualification:

✔️ Master’s Degree in Chemistry OR Toxicology or Biochemistry OR Forensic Science from a recognized University or Institute.

✔️ Bachelor’s Degree with Chemistry as one of the subject from a recognized University OR Institute.

 

5) Senior Lecturer (Forensic Medicine)

 Age Limit:

✔️ Maximum 50 years.

 

 Pay Scale:- Level- 11 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC plus NPA.

 

Educational Qualification:

✔️ A basic University OR equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.

✔️ M.D. (Forensic Medicine) from a recognized University/ Institution OR equivalent.

 

6) Sub Divisional Engineer (Public Health) 

 Age Limit:

✔️ Maximum 35 years.

 

 Pay Scale:- Rs.15600-39100/- (PB3) + Rs.5400/-(Grade Pay) as per 6th CPC.

 

Educational Qualification:

✔️ Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University OR Institute.

 

 Application Fee:

✔️ Rs.25/- Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates.

✔️ NO Fee/- SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community.

✔️ Step-1: Applicants are required to fill the application form as available on the website www.upsconline.nic.in

✔️ Step-2: Read CAREFULLY all the instructions given on the website.

✔️ Step-3: Candidates must upload the documents/certificates in support of all the claims made by them in the application like, Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in prescribed format), Desirable Qualification(s) etc. or any other information, separately against each claim in pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 1 MB for the respective aforesaid modules and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENT” module and is legible when a printout taken. For that purpose, the applicant may scan the documents/certificates in 200 dpi grey scale. Documents like Pay Slip, Resume, Appointment Letter, Relieving Letter, Un-signed Experience Certificate etc. must not be uploaded in the Document Upload Module.

✔️ Step-4: Candidates who wish to apply for more than one post should apply separately for each post and pay the fee for each post in the prescribed manner.

✔️ Step-5: After submitting the Online Recruitment Application (ORA), the candidates are required to take out a print out of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application.

✔️ Step-6: The applicants are advised to submit only single Online Recruitment Application for each post; however, if somehow, if he/she submits multiple Online Recruitment Applications for one post, then he/she must ensure that Online Recruitment Application with the higher “Application Number” is complete in all respects including fee. The applicants, who submit multiple Online Recruitment Applications, should note that only the Online Recruitment Application with higher “Application Number” shall be entertained by the Commission and fee paid against one “Application Number” shall not be adjusted against any other “Application Number”.

✔️ Step-7: The candidates are advised to submit the Online Recruitment Application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.
